Testing SMTP servers with SWAKS

When changing software configuration it is always a good idea to test things as thoroughly as you can. In the case of SMTP it is generally possible to test things offline pretty easily, and then perform simple tests via a manual telnet - but the SWAKS tool makes SMTP-testing even simpler.

Over the last couple of weeks I've been personally inundated with hundreds of requests for free Flex Builder licenses from developers who have found themselves unemployed due to the current economic climate - whilst no one wants to be in that situation, I'm glad that we've been able to do something, albeit small, to help people who have been affected and who want to learn Flex.

Digium launches support services for Asterisk

InnoDB & Google: Software is Hard Sometime ..

Some months ago, Google released a patch for InnoDB that boosts performance on multi-core servers. We decided to incorporate the change into the InnoDB Plugin to make everybody happy: users of InnoDB don't have to apply the patch, and Google no longer has to maintain the patch for new versions of InnoDB.
