Firebird: Deal with Unavailable Database

"unavailble database" error prompt connecting to Firebird service is annoying and difficult to trace. Sometime it work and sometime it doesn't. We don't know when it work and when it doesn't work.

I was hosting my own email server for about a year. I enjoyed the fact that I had full and complete control over the entire mail server. I enjoyed being able to fine tune everything to fit my needs exactly. I was doing this for about 1.5 years.

Persistent storage on Amazon EC2 is accomplished through the use of Elastic Block Store (EBS) volumes. EBS is basically a storage area network (SAN) and can be thought of as an on-demand, virtual, redundant hard drive plugged in to the server with super-powers like snapshot/restore.
